Building Envelope Consultants

Are you sure you are giving your clients the truth about spray foam?

As consultants, we depend on the truth. During my 40 years in the polyurethane foam industry in the U.S. and Canada, I have seen and heard unfounded performance claims, misleading bits of information and an absence of supporting data.

Polyurethane foam is not new to construction. The product was first used in the U.S. in the mid ‘50’s in Connecticut – and that application is still functioning as intended today. Spray Polyurethane Foam (SPF) has been tested and scrutinized in all kinds of configurations. The data is available, but you need to know where to find it and how to correctly interpret the results. Transferring product data to an assembly while considering the indoor and outdoor environment is the key and may potentially add risk to your project.

I can help you address the issues and provide insight into the intended assembly and how SPF can be specified and installed correctly to yield the result you are looking for.

Would you like to have the knowledge to make recommendations based on fact, testing and proven application history rather than hearsay and conjecture? Let's talk.
